Getting the Little Bee Girls Ready for Us Leaving!

We have a hive of bees in our back yard that are (generally) the sweetest little bees.  They are definitely "Valley Girls".  They sleep in until the sun hits their home (it doesn't matter what time it is), then they all have a little meeting on the bottom inside of their hive deciding on the work for the day.  And they all line up and take off to do their work.  They have the most wonderful tasting honey.  I think a lot of the special flavor is from the Ironwood Eucalyptus tree in our front yard.

The honey is prized for flavor and for allergy relief.

See all that beautiful honey in the frame!

Anyhow,  Father Bee is AKA George.  He has quite of few hives in our area.  He is visiting all the hives before the trip to make sure the little girls have lots of room to make honey while we are gone on our journey.

George will probably visit them one more time before we leave.

The white on the frame are the wax caps that my little girls use to cover the honey cells.
